Ken Ofori-Atta, Minister of Finance praises Ghana Revenue Authority for hitting revenue target last year




The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Customs Division Wednesday January 26, 2022 celebrated International Customs Day, Accra.
In a speech read on behalf of the Finance Minister Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, commended GRA for their marvelous performance last year 2021 by meeting their revenue target of Ghc 57.3 billon. 

He said the ministry will continue to support to implement and enhance the work of GRA and Customs Division.

Customs Division

The occasion that brought different stakeholders together was on the theme, "Scaling up Customs Digital Transformation by embracing a Data Culture and Building a Data Ecosystem".

"GRA is building a data warehouse system that would integrate data on taxpayers from internal and external for Ghanaians and beyond", Commissioner-General, Rev. Dr Ammishadai Owusu-Amoah said. 

The International Customs Day (ICD)  began Wednesday January 26, 1952 mandated to raise awareness about the importance of customs authorities and their role in shipping.
