Paradox of Mr Apology and Father Kalipo: Politics of blame game

Father Kalipo |
It all started well when they were young. Their parents saw the missions and visions but they could not succeed in them. These children come from different parent. Everyone comes from his parents and home town. They have one mission and vision for their country. "To make it a world class" but the center cannot hold.
The struggles and challenges are tough. The fathers thought about this journey of the country, to build it with their best knowledge. It was lovely but the selfishness was too much.
Someone will ask, who are you talking about? I am talking about Mr Apology and Father Kalipo. The two managers of the State welfares.
The journey began with the fathers but they could not succeed and enjoy those moments because another person intervened, who thought about the country or State beyond his brothers. He broke their record.
Today, the benefits have fall on the children and they are enjoying the fruit of the labour of their fathers.
A political journey is tough and comes with many challenges. The mission is still growing and the obstacles are still increasing. Yet still the leaders haven't been able to put the nuts in one bucket.
These men stood hard and fought what they could but yet still the sabotage in the missions was enormous.
They faced betrayals, arrests, killings and exiles, yet still the focus was there to redeem the country from its shackles and wounds of the oppressor.
Years have gone, many events have unfolded. You cannot let the past crush you down. We had to move on.
This is Ghana today, a country that is still struggling for growth and make his own legacy.
When people want power, to the politicians have good messages for the power. The stories or campaign messages are well composed and crafted to win the voters mind. But when the power is given to them, the misfortune set in and you cannot tell where the problem is from. The centre does not hold.
Because the parties do not understand each other. They're enemies to the same country they vow to lead and support it from falling because the interest does not benefit the opposition.
The opposition do not always agree with the ruling party (the majority), so the ruling party too would not listen or pay attention to the critiques (i.e. the minority).
Mr Apology and Father Kalipo are two major good businessmen. They have a high vision for their country and willing to do their best to support its development but the commitment of each other to some extent seems to be either lacking or too incompetent for the job.

Father Kalipo and Mr Apology in shot |
The business of politics that has prospered their counterpart countries, their international friends is a problem in Ghana.
Anytime people ascend the thrown, their expenditure exceeds National Gross Domestic Profit (NGDP). The spending is more than what they produce. They produce less than the national capacity. The borrowing is too much without proper returns.
It is getting to campaign season again, we are going to hear “Them” tell us new stories and messages, powerful ones. The electorates have though identified the problems and weakness among these parties but finds it difficult to change them, why? Because they are the power house in the country currently, and their services have become national cake for the people. You either join anyone if you want opportunities or you think one can solve your problems.
Father Kalipo in 2016, pardoned the country for power. Ghanaians had a great interest and hope during his campaign messages.
Mr Apology on the other hand was also full of assurance because he was then in power. He trusted his abilities because he believed he had work and as a person in power it is difficult to lose it. Therefore, no advice could change his thinking about issues raised by the populace. He turned to be a dead goat.
Father Kalipo was then with energy because he understood Kalipo gives energy. That energy carried the citizens along with a deep spirit. Kalipo turned out to be the favourite of everyone drinking. In this lime Kalipo has gotten price.
Some of the campaign messages are, “One District, One factory”, “One village one dam”, “Free Senior High School”. These messages triggered the heart of Ghanaians. The population paid much attention and grabbed the message because it made a lot of sense.
Moreover, the country needs factories because the people want jobs since the old ones have died out and if there are some remaining, their functions and capacity have gone down, and many broke down without repairs and foreign expatriates have taken most of them and running them.
Mr Apology his campaign begged because the situation he encounters was strong and he was finding ways to restore them where the economic values were diminishing because there was limited liquidity (no money) but had to fix the current crisis termed, “Dumsor”, a term for the electricity crisis.
The fan of Father Kalipo. To him, Mr Apology is weak and has lost the integrity to solve a common economic problem. His young boy, his friends supported him to tease Mr Apology.
Mr Apology and his team were left desperate. Their campaign message for election did not sink well with the electorates. The Dumsor got him crazy.
Father Kalipo has tried this game severally without chance. The opponent he contested the first and second gave up at duty. His young boy was Mr Apology who then succeeded him after his death. Mr Apology contested Father Kalipo 2012 and Father Kalipo lost. Father Kalipo won 2016 and 2020. Mr Apology did not succeed with his apology to the electorates. The expectation was high from Father Kalipo because of his big slogans and promises.
Upon all these rhetoric, Ghana is not still healed because the promises were all talks for power. The ship keeps sinking. One cannot tell if the kalipo energy is lost or the size of the plan isn’t functioning well.
“From taxation to production!” It is now “taxation”, “spending”, and the results, the same stories yesterday.
The citizens continue to ask, “What has gone wrong?” They answered is “Covid-19”, “Russia-Ukraine War”, “Israel-Hamas war”.
“Then what happened to your development plan?”
“There is no money to finance government projects so we have to prioritize”.
The citizen do not have any choice that to abide by the message and comment of the President.
Mr Apology is on bench and tries to contribute to the challenges faced by Father Kalipo but as politicians as they are, they don’t listen to each other. The problem of the country with the minority and majority Caucasus, and the common term they mostly use is, “We gave you the opportunity, you couldn’t so keep quiet and watch us…”
“The Battle is still the Lord’s!” has become a normal term by the lord and the citizens. Yes, the Lord fights battles as well but these men don’t fight in the interest of what they say or maybe it is the energy, lost?
The vacuum they create is too much, loaded with boys and men with little or no technical or scientific training. Their muscles don’t pull anything only their share.
The man is tired and those around are afraid to tell him the truth but because they fear they might lose the benefits they get from the master. The tragedy in the game.
This is Ghana, let us all come together and make it again. We have seen the efforts from the UGCC area, to CPP, the military regimes and civil governments, to Fourth Republic. The personal business or interest is too much. It is not going to help the country but sell it as the slave masters purported and have succeeded. It time to change the narrative. We should relook at our technical, science and industry history again. The Patriotic songs should not leave our mouth, not just singing it but breeding in us as a country, the first country to be “African satellite”. Civilization then wasn’t about personal interest, it was about the people. Everyone was happy because they see jobs and managing their burdens with the support of government.
Most components that support the major institution (politics), Football is another institution that entertain the people when the politicians mess up the economy. It is the Football Association that change the button but this association is also fragile. Another big business with those who understand the game of its politics.
The Film and Music Industries, the place where we use the theatre to tell our home and natural stories, the cinema where we watch our videos, drama and others. The acting, painting and writing have sent Ghana high oo, what happened today with most not our scenes?
We need the collaboration and think back again our previous works and make corrections. We should be representatives of our own identify as Ghanaians.
Through Mr Apology and Father Kalipo we have seen how the Ghanaian politician think and act. It is about themselves. The others are a little of concern, it is captured in the gazette and the public speech but practically it is neither here nor there. The electorates are just their election tool. They use processes and manners to capture your mind, “You”.
When the football and the entertainment industry change the narrative, thinking rightly and planning rightly. Ghana will be more than countries you know.
Let us put the business aside and think “the country first”. “Our hope, interest, our industry and life”. We should make it better.
Father Kalipo and Mr Apology.
Father Kalipo will soon leave the button for his young boy who now bears the master’s flag and will context Mr Apology in the 2024 election.
We shall bring you update
#PeaceAndLoveMessage.
